Can the real douche please stand up?

Well it has been an interesting last few days when it comes to the work front. On Thursday we were working in a lab and the general contractor came in and told us that we could take the copper. This was really cool but I found salvaging all of the copper was taking way to much time and we were not getting shit done on the site.

So the next day there were a few laborers from the construction company that came in and saw that there was some copper and they tried to grab it. Since I have been working on the site for the last x number of months I would like to think that I built a bit of a rapport with these guys and told them that the copper was ours. They proceeded to tell me that they got completely fucked over when it came to the copper on the floor below.

Since I worked on that floor to I knew exactly what they were talking about. So I figured that as a jesture I would simply tell them to take the copper out of the room we did not do. Of course this is something that the douche thought was completely stupid. When I tried to explain to him that it was only fair that we “SHARE” the wealth with other people.

So now it appears that I am the biggest asshole on the planet. He hasn’t talked to me since. Oh well his loss. I was actually to the point in this situation (if we got all the copper) I would have just not bothered to take that copper in.

So to bring this post to a close I thought that I would just say that he decided that he did not want any of the copper in the end and once again this was something that I did not bother me. I took the copper into the recycler and got a fair chunk of change for it.  Since I am a “nice” guy I still split the money 3 ways.

Should be interesting of the next little while.
